Dendrobium Automotive’s inaugural EV, the D1, a collaborative creation with Williams Advanced Engineering, was first introduced as a concept in 2017, revealing its production version in 2022. The D1 employs dual electric motors – each situated on an axle – resulting in a combined output of 1,800 horsepower and 1,475 pound-feet of torque. Weighing in at 3,850 pounds, this aggressive-designed EV can catapult from 0 to 60 mph in under 2.7 seconds, surging to a top speed exceeding 200 mph. With a projected price tag of $1.5 million, only 50 units of the D1 are slated for production yearly.
