6. Special Boat Service (SBS) – United Kingdom
The SBS is the Royal Navy’s counterpart to the Navy SEALs. They are specialized in maritime operations, amphibious warfare, and counter-terrorism. Although many believe they are more elite than the SAS due to the fact that amphibious operations are more difficult than land operations, they haven’t been called up to as many missions since a majority have been done by the SAS making their role more limit for the British military. They did however play a vital role in the Falklands War.
