The German Kommando Spezialkräfte, or KSK, is the special forces unit of the German Armed Forces. Their training is very similar to SEAL training which includes a “Hell Week” which is called “Höllen Woche” in German. In this hell week, the recruits have to swim in 1 degree Celsius water, carry logs up a mountain and carry over 100 pounds of equipment for miles all while getting less than 8 hours total sleep during this week. The KSK has been involved in various conflicts, including the War in Afghanistan, hunting down ISIS and other operations in the middle east.
